After renovation works in 2009, rooms are simple, with some slightly rustic touches and an eclectic, almost bohemian style that feels somehow more like the work of a collector or a curator than a traditional designer. The hotel is located \u00a0very close to the ski slopes, at the foot of Val d\u2019Is\u00e8re resort. The hotel is named after the beautiful Ormelune peak, close to Val d\u2019Is\u00e8re on the French-Italian border. The hotel, owned by a family of Jocelyne and Jean-Louis Sibuet, has an authentic and unique atmosphere &#8211; the old and the rustic blend together with contemporary materials like the crocodile style pvc found on some of the walls, next to a more classical Scottish plaid. Fur on the beds, glass and wooden night tables and, the luxury of luxuries, a natural stone fireplace in each room, which reinforces the warm feel of the wood, all add to the rustic but luxurious atmosphere. The hotel is located next to a park, that in winter becomes covered in snow and illuminated with the lights to provide the most wonderful and enchanting night scene. Meg\u00e8ve has a fine selection of restaurants, which really should be tried, whilst the hotel itself boasts the fantastic Beef Lodge. Get a horse-drawn carriage for a ride through the cobblestoned streets of Meg\u00e8ve\u2019s village square, which is illuminated by a Swarovski Christmas tree during the holidays.
