So, what\u2019s happening in the Alps this December?<\/strong> Here\u2019s everything you need to know.<\/p>\n

Winter Fashion Show, Cortina d\u2019Ampezzo- Italy (7th \u2013 9th December)<\/h2>\n

Cortina is a hugely popular resort due to its authentic feel. Every year skiers appreciate its picturesque views and welcoming atmosphere.<\/p>\n

This year, the resort is home to the Cortina Fashion weekend<\/a>, running from the 7th-9th of December.<\/p>\n

This event is ideal for any fashion-savvy skiers, however it has something to appeal to everyone- even younger travellers! The events include cocktail parties, musical performances and charity tennis games.<\/p>\n

BERGFESTival, Saalbach-Hinterglemm- Austria (8th \u2013 10th December)<\/h2>\n

Part of Austria\u2019s largest linked ski area, Saalbach-Hinterglemm have a lot to offer holiday-makers both on and off-piste.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re keen for a rock concert after a day on the slopes, BERGFESTival will not let you down. Is there a better way to start the ski season?<\/p>\n

Running from the 8th-10th of December from the evening until the early hours of the next day, BERGFESTival is sure to make your holiday an unforgettable one.<\/p>\n

Menuires Geek Festival, Les Menuires- France (9th \u2013 10th December)<\/h2>\n

Based in the infamous Trois Vall\u00e9es, Les Menuires is a popular destination with keen skiers.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s an inner geek in all of us. If, off the slopes, you have a love for apps and all things technological<\/a>, you\u2019ll delight in the Menuires Geek Festival<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The festival features everything from laser tag to snowboard simulators, running from the 9th-10th of December.<\/p>\n

Marshmallow Party, Courchevel- France (9th December)<\/h2>\n

Part of the world\u2019s largest lift-linked ski area, and nestled in the heart of the Three Valleys, Courchevel is one of the most popular resorts in the Alps.<\/p>\n

At around an hour and a half from Chambery airport<\/a>, Courchevel is easily accessible.<\/p>\n

Easily accessible from Zurich airport<\/a>, Zermatt has a lot to boast about.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re looking for some great off-piste entertainment, Zermatt is holding a fashion weekend at the Matterhorn<\/a> from 14th-17th of December.<\/p>\n

The event will feature pop-up stores, catwalks and bars. There\u2019s some to please even the least fashion-savvy skier!<\/p>\n

Rise&Fall, Mayrhofen \u2013 Austria (16th December)<\/h2>\n

Mayrhofen really does have something for everyone. Nothing demonstrates this more than Rise&Fall on the 16th of December<\/a>, which is a sporting event unlike any other.<\/p>\n

One team is made up of four people, all doing different activities.<\/p>\n

The relay consists of extreme ascents and descents, including paragliding, ski touring, mountain biking and skiing.<\/p>\n

This race is sure to keep all spectators entertained!<\/p>\n

Street Food Festival, Lech Z\u00fcrs am Arlberg- Austria (16th \u2013 17th December 2017)<\/h2>\n

Lech Z\u00fcrs am Arlberg is famed for its adventurous slopes that keep skiers returning year after year. But what about off the slopes?<\/p>\n

From the 16th-17th of December 2017, Z\u00fcrs am Arlberg is running a street food festival<\/a>. There\u2019s something here for all palettes!<\/p>\n

A multitude of food trucks will be offering a range of different foods, against a backdrop of the mountains.<\/p>\n

For those who can make it on 16th December at 14:30, you will be entertained by the Red Bull Skidive Team. Be blown away by spectacular stunts while you eat!<\/p>\n

Rise Festival, Les Deux Alpes- France (16th \u2013 23rd December)<\/h2>\n

Open for most of the year, Les Deux Alpes has something to offer every skier or snowboarder. Based around two hours from Chambery Airport<\/a>, it\u2019s an easy transfer.<\/p>\n

December marks the start of its season and it\u2019s ready and raring to go!<\/p>\n

Now for the fourth year in a row, Les Deux Alpes is putting on the Rise Festival<\/a> from the 16th-23rd December.<\/p>\n

Christmas market, Seefeld- Austria (25th \u2013 31st December)<\/h2>\n

With perhaps one of the shortest transfers around (40 minutes from Innsbruck airport<\/a>) Seefeld is popular with skiers year after year.<\/p>\n

Seefeld is also popular with holiday-goers because of its endless entertainment opportunities.<\/p>\n
