Slalom, Alpine Skiing<\/h2>\n

The Slalom is an Alpine skiing event where racers ski between obstacles, such as poles. It\u2019s one of the most popular events in the Winter Olympics, and it\u2019s easy to see why.<\/p>\n

To pass through the poles, skiers are required to take quick and sharp turns. Year after year, this event provides onlookers with plenty of electrifying moments!<\/p>\n

Bormio, Italy, 14th February 2018<\/h3>\n

Located near the Swiss border, Bormio is charming and low-cost Italian ski resort.<\/p>\n

The best bit? This year, Bormio will be home to the men\u2019s and women\u2019s Slalom races.<\/p>\n

Here you can watch an exciting Alpine skiing event and ski on Bormio\u2019s selection of varied slopes. It\u2019s the best of both worlds for every winter sports enthusiast!<\/p>\n

Courchevel, France, 17th February 2018<\/h3>\n

Courchevel is one of France\u2019s most popular ski resorts, with many loyal families and keen skiers returning year after year.<\/p>\n

So, it\u2019s unsurprising that Courchevel is playing host to some winter sports events this year! Think of it as a mini PyeongChang and you\u2019ll get a rough idea.<\/p>\n

On the 17th February, Courchevel is home to not only the men\u2019s Slalom, but the women\u2019s also. If you\u2019re looking for winter sports thrills, you won\u2019t be disappointed here.<\/p>\n

Giant Slalom, Alpine Skiing<\/h2>\n

For those who are unsure, Giant Slalom is an Alpine skiing event, involving skiing between sets of poles spaced at a greater distance than found in the slalom.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not the fastest race in Alpine skiing, but this doesn\u2019t stop those who compete reaching some simply staggering speeds.<\/p>\n

This year, the resort will be home to the Ladies\u2019 Giant Slalom<\/a>. Prepare yourself for an unmissable race!<\/p>\n

Usseglio, Italy, 14th February 2018<\/h3>\n

While not technically in the Alps, we won\u2019t tell if you don\u2019t.<\/p>\n

Located around an hour away from Turin airport and a stone\u2019s throw away from the French border, Usseglio is a quiet Italian commune.<\/p>\n

But, this year, Usseglio is sure to be shaken up by some thrilling winter sports. Both the ladies\u2019 and men\u2019s Giant Slalom races will take place here!<\/p>\n

So, for those hoping to witness some winter sports staying in any nearby ski resorts, such as Courmayeur, the excitement of Usseglio isn\u2019t far away!<\/p>\n

Forni di Sopra, Italy, 16th-17th February 2018<\/h3>\n

One of Italy\u2019s lesser well-known ski resorts, Forni di Sopra is located close to some of the Alps\u2019 heavyweights, such as Cortina d\u2019Ampezzo.<\/p>\n

This year, Forni di Sopra will play host to both the ladies\u2019 and men\u2019s Giant Slalom races.<\/p>\n

Your fix of Alpine skiing is sure to be satisfied here!<\/p>\n

Alpe Cermis, Italy, 17th February 2018<\/h3>\n

Alpe Cermis has a lot to boast about. Part of the Dolomiti Superski region, it has plenty of varied slopes to offer keen skiers.<\/p>\n

This year, Alpe Cermis will also be home to the ladies\u2019 and men\u2019s Giant Slalom races.
\nCourchevel, France, 18th February 2018<\/p>\n

Like M\u00e9ribel, Courchevel is another infamous French ski resort.<\/p>\n

Despite being one of Italy\u2019s lesser known ski areas, the San Pellegrino Pass isn\u2019t overlooked by winter sports enthusiasts.<\/p>\n

The ladies\u2019 and men\u2019s Giant Slalom events will take place here on the 18th February.<\/p>\n
