Pinpointed in the Austrian Alps, Zell am See is a ski resort renowned for the incredible panoramic views all year around, and it’s the most popular resort in Salzburg. Situated at almost 800 metres above sea level, you can officially start skiing from December until early April. Skiing at Zell am See is for everyone. There are designated runs for beginners called Schüttdorf and Schmittental with nearby lifts to take you to different ski areas. For the intermediate skiers, the Schmittenhöhe mountain is the suggested one. The Saalbach area is also good to explore.
