Situated 1800 above sea level, Saas-fee, also known as The Pearl of the Alps, is surrounded by the highest Swiss mountains. Being a “car-less” village means tourists can wander around and appreciate the freshness of the mountains.

Snowsport schools are available for all ages. To name a few, “ESKIMOS Ski and Snowboard School” and “Swiss Ski School Saas-Fee,” are both available in the winter and summer seasons.

For those who are experiencing ski activities for the first time and do not yet have the equipment, Manu ski and snowboard rental are available in various sports shops. Everyone can depend on a total of 23 ski lifts giving you access to the ski areas. Some ski lifts can be closed depending on the season.

Non-skiing activities in Saas-Fee

Saas-fees has a wide range of non-skiing activities. Some activities include ice sports, torchlight tours, cross-country skiing, and sledging. To have a magical experience, try the torchlight tour. Many routes are available, and you can get the torches in the tourist offices.

Sledging is another option for the whole family. It’s a 6km run, and the sleds are available to hire on the spot. Toboggan Run also welcomes the whole family. It’s open daily, and prices vary depending on the age.
