Munich Airport is Germany’s main gateway to the Alps, not only to German resorts. Bavaria’s own skiing centres on Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the Zugspitze, with smaller areas near Oberstdorf, but most people flying into Munich for a ski trip are heading further, into Austria’s Tyrol or western Switzerland. From Munich, it’s under two hours to Innsbruck’s resorts and around three to St. Anton, Kitzbühel or Zell am See. See our Munich Airport transfers for the full list of routes we run from there.
