La Tania, which opened in 1990, was funded in preparation for the Albertville Winter Olympics held two years later. The ski resort offers you an intimate ski experience, making it ideal for family holidays. Courchevel and Meribel, other nearby Alps ski resorts, are reachable by car in just 5 minutes. While these resorts are nearby, none of them offer the same blend of experiences La Tania gives.

Skiing and activities in La Tania

With our transfer services, we can get you to La Tania in less than 2 hours. This unique ski resort stands out from every other one. Don’t get thrown off with their official website. The focus is on providing a great customer experience face-to-face. They welcome you like family.

And, talking about family, the La Tania ski holiday is family-friendly. They have a ski and snowboard school that welcomes kids. The instructors are professionals who grew up in the skies. Ski Progression is a kid’s school with a focus on private lessons. Cross-country skiing is another popular alternative.

La Tania skiing: an overview

The La Tania skiing experience will give you a lot to explore. There are 175 lifts to carry skiers (in an efficient way) to the pistes, 293 trails, and 130 km of cross-country tracks. Based on prettiness and steepness, the favourite pistes are Folyères and Jerusalem.

For example, the blue slope at Folyères Pistes contains nearly 30 snow cannons along its whole length. These cannons appear in both red and green runs. Beginners should use the (free) drag lift and schedule a ski lesson to gain confidence on the pistes. Do not forget the helmets.

Non-skiing activities in La Tania

There are many non-skiing activities in La Tania. To mention a few, snowshoeing allows you to explore the snowy forests in a tranquil way with your family, away from the slopes.

There are also designated dog-sledding runs, indoor climbing, skidoo rides, and horseback riding. You can get more information by visiting the Tourist Office at La Tania.

Things to do in La Tania town

La Tania offers many activities off the slopes, including indoor games like casinos where you can play poker or roulette. However, if you want to get away for a bit, Courchevel Le Praz is a nearby mountain village worth a visit.

This Alpine village is popular among travellers from La Tania. The reason behind this is the village’s architecture and stoned streets. In this town, you will find classic restaurants, bars, modern shops, and lifts to take you to the summit of the mountains for unforgettable views.

Family-friendly and kids' fun in La Tania

As mentioned before, La Tania offers a variety of activities that you can do with your family. Hiking trails, dog sledding, or zip-lining in Courchevel Adventure Park are some of them. If you decide to go to Courchevel, there is a toy library for kids. It’s open from 10 am to 12 pm, and the maximum age is 6 years old.

At La Tania town, there is a volleyball court and a play area to go with the kids during the day. The place is being refurbished to add other multi-sports activities. And, If your little ones want to learn how to ski, why not try some private lessons at the British school Snowlimits? Another alternative is the Ski School, providing ski lessons for children as well as adults.

La Tania is an incredible little resort that offers enjoyable après-ski activities to unwind after a long day. To name a few, Le Rond Point pub is popular with tourists since it features daily live bands (usually around 5 pm). The Frog and Roastbeef is a lively British pub where visitors come after their Three Vallees tour for a beer and chips.

Last but not least, the most famous and mandatory stop is the Le Ski Lodge. You will always discover a lively atmosphere. There are several types of beers, cocktails, and wines to choose from, as well as themed parties. Tuesdays are the busiest nights, with excellent price quality.
