Flachau skiing: an overview

Part of the extensive Snow Space Salzburg area, Flachau boasts 125 kilometres of slopes within its immediate vicinity and access to a total of 210 kilometres when including nearby Wagrain and St. Johann. Advanced skiers can challenge themselves on black diamond runs, particularly in the Zauchensee area. Modern lift infrastructure, including high-speed chairlifts like the Star Jet and Space Jet, efficiently transports up to 60,000 skiers per hour.

Flachau is renowned for its snowmaking capabilities, ensuring good conditions throughout the season, typically from early December to mid-April. The area also offers excellent freestyle facilities, including the Absolut Park in nearby Flachauwinkl. With six ski schools, equipment rental shops, and additional features like the 12 Peaks Trophy circuit, Flachau provides a comprehensive alpine experience for winter sports enthusiasts.
